Choose what you need help with

You do not need to know which Reset tool you “should” have used. Start with the part of the app or the problem that looks closest.

Did Reset suddenly change or stop working?

Check Updates & Known Issues first. If the problem is not listed, you can report it below.

Starting a Reset

Getting one small support without having to explain the whole problem first.

What is Reset for?

Reset is a hard-moment helper. It is designed for times when the next thing feels too big: starting, switching, stopping, deciding, talking, waiting, leaving, coming back, overload, shutdown, or simply not knowing what kind of help fits.

The goal is not to make you finish a whole plan. Reset gives you one smaller support, and stopping after that support is allowed.

Where should I start?

Open the Reset tab and choose the hard-moment option that feels closest, such as being stuck, overloaded, unable to talk, needing to leave, needing to start, or Not sure.

The choice does not have to be perfect. It only helps Reset choose a more useful first support.

What if I choose the wrong option?

Nothing is locked in. Use Choose another support, go Back, or return to Reset home. The first choice is not a test and does not create a permanent label.

What does “Not sure” do?

Not sure lets you skip the pressure to name exactly what is wrong. Reset can begin with a softer card, a body-first check, or another low-demand support without requiring a detailed explanation.

What does “Make this easier” do?

It lowers the demand of the current support. Depending on the moment, that may mean fewer words, a smaller step, a timer, a body-first option, a script, a visual version, another card, or permission to stop.

What does “Stop Here” mean?

Stop Here means stopping can be the valid next support. You can park the task, leave a marker, come back later, or decide that done for now counts.

Reset Tools

Choose a specific kind of help when you already know what would be useful.

What is Quick Reset?

Quick Reset uses short, low-demand cards for overload or shutdown moments. It is meant to lower the immediate load before asking you to solve a task problem.

What is Body Check?

Body Check helps you check one body or sensory/input need before treating the moment like a task problem. Examples can include water, food, bathroom, temperature, clothing, sound, light, pressure, movement, rest, or discomfort.

Body Check is deliberately low-demand: try one check, then stop or choose another only if it helps.
How do the timers work?

Timers give a small container to a support or task. Reset includes short presets such as 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, one song, and waiting.

When the timer ends, stopping is allowed. You can choose one next move instead of automatically continuing.

What is Recovery?

Recovery support is for the quieter part after a difficult moment, when the next need may be rest, re-entry, lowering stimulation, or returning without jumping straight back into the full demand.

Do I need Apps Pro to use the main Reset tools?

No. Core hard-moment help stays available without Apps Pro. That includes the main Reset flow, Quick Reset, Body Check, built-in Tiny Steps, built-in scripts, timers, Reset Pages, Stop Here, Recovery, and basic individual support print/share.

Reset is intentionally designed so an upgrade prompt does not interrupt the acute hard-moment flow.

Tiny Steps

Making a task smaller when starting, continuing, switching, or finishing feels too big.

What are Tiny Steps?

Tiny Steps turn a larger task into a short, stoppable sequence. They can help with body care, recovery, chores, food/drink, focus, school, work, planning, bedtime, errands, waiting, appointments, and other everyday tasks.

You can preview the steps before starting. Stopping after one tiny step is allowed.

Can Reset suggest a Tiny Steps plan for me?

Yes. Reset can use simple context choices to suggest a starting plan. You can review the suggestion before starting it or browse the Tiny Steps Library yourself.

Can I favorite a Tiny Steps plan?

Yes. Favoriting a plan keeps it easier to find again in Saved. Free includes a limited amount of saved/favorite organizing space, while using the built-in Tiny Steps Library itself remains free.

Can I create my own Tiny Steps plan?

Yes. Reset supports custom Tiny Steps plans for sequences that are specific to you. Reset Free includes up to 2 custom Tiny Steps plans. Apps Pro adds more custom Tiny Steps capacity.

What happens to my existing custom Tiny Steps if I reach the Free limit?

Existing custom Tiny Steps still work. Reaching the Free limit stops you from saving another new custom plan; it does not block the built-in Tiny Steps Library or erase the custom plans you already made.

Scripts

Short, copyable words for moments when talking or finding the right words is hard.

What are Scripts?

Scripts give low-words or no-words self-advocacy options for situations such as asking for help, needing less talking, waiting, leaving, returning, stopping, asking for a first step, or handling a body-first need.

You can copy, show, print, or use a script directly.

How do I find the right script?

Browse the Scripts Library by category or moment. Reset includes ways to narrow scripts for situations such as quiet, leaving, waiting, running late, returning, school, and work.

Can I create my own script?

Yes. Reset Free includes up to 2 custom scripts. Apps Pro adds more room for custom scripts saved on the device.

Do built-in scripts become locked if I reach the custom-script limit?

No. Built-in scripts stay available. Existing custom scripts also continue to work. The limit applies to saving another new custom script.

Reset Pages

One-page supports you can fill in lightly, use on screen, save, or print.

What is a Reset Page?

A Reset Page is a fillable one-page support. Choose only the parts that help, leave the rest blank, and use the finished page on screen or print a clean copy.

Blank is allowed. A Reset Page does not have to be “completed” like a worksheet.
Can I save a Reset Page?

Yes. A useful Reset Page can be kept in Saved so you can find it again. Useful pieces from a completed Reset Page can also be kept in My Reset Menu for next time.

Can I print a Reset Page without Apps Pro?

Yes. Basic Reset Page printing is part of the core free app. Apps Pro is not required to print an individual Reset Page.

What happens to what I type into a Reset Page?

Reset can keep Reset Page entries locally on the device when you choose to save them. Review typed words before printing, sharing, or exporting a backup, especially if the page contains private details.

Saved, Favorites & My Reset Menu

Keeping a few useful things easy to find again without turning Reset into a large planner.

What is Saved for?

Saved is for Reset supports you want to find again. Depending on the support, you may see actions such as Favorite this, Save to Reset, Add to My Reset Menu, or Keep this for later.

Saved can include Reset cards, scripts, favorite Tiny Steps, saved Reset Pages, timers/recent help, and other reusable Reset supports.

How much Saved/Favorites space is included with Reset Free?

Reset Free includes up to 6 favorites or saved organizing items, including saved Reset Pages.

Reaching that limit does not stop you from using a Reset card, Tiny Steps plan, built-in script, timer, or Reset Page right now. Apps Pro adds more room for organizing saved items.

What is My Reset Menu?

My Reset Menu is an optional, local place to keep a few go-to reminders for hard moments. You can write short phrases such as “headphones + low light,” “water first,” or “only the first step,” and leave anything you do not need blank.

It autosaves on the device and can also collect useful pieces you deliberately save from Reset Pages.

Can I print My Reset Menu?

Yes. Basic My Reset Menu printing remains available without Apps Pro, so you can keep a paper backup if that is easier to use in a hard moment.

Custom Tiny Steps & custom scripts

Personalizing reusable help while keeping all built-in hard-moment support available.

What are the Free custom limits?
  • 2 custom Tiny Steps plans
  • 2 custom scripts

Apps Pro adds more custom capacity. Built-in Tiny Steps and built-in scripts stay available regardless of these limits.

Why did Reset show an Apps Pro message when I tried to save something?

Reset only uses those limit messages on calmer organizing/customizing screens, not in the middle of the core hard-moment flow.

If you reached a Free saved/custom limit, you can keep using the support immediately; only saving another item is limited.

Will Reset delete custom items if Apps Pro ends?

Existing custom Tiny Steps and scripts are kept and continue to work. If you are over the Free creation limit, you may need Apps Pro or fewer saved custom items before creating another one.

Pocket Reset Kit Builder

An optional Apps Pro tool for building a personalized set of Reset supports to reuse on screen or as a paper backup.

What is the Pocket Reset Kit Builder?

The Pocket Reset Kit Builder lets you make personalized packs for moments such as overload, shutdown, getting stuck, body needs, stopping, or quiet re-entry. You choose the cards that help, save packs on the device, use them on screen, and create clean pocket or large-print backups.

Is the Pocket Reset Kit Builder part of Apps Pro?

Yes. Apps Pro unlocks customizable saved Pocket Reset Packs and premium pack outputs.

You do not need Apps Pro for core Reset help or basic individual-support printing.

Does a Pocket Reset Pack replace My Reset Menu?

No. My Reset Menu is the simpler free local place for a few go-to supports. Pocket Reset Kit Builder is a more customizable Apps Pro option for building reusable sets and paper-ready packs.

Using Reset with SensyCues or ViziCues

Optional handoffs when another SensoryGift app fits the next step better.

Do I need SensyCues or ViziCues to use Reset?

No. Reset works on its own. Some screens may offer another SensoryGift app when that next tool could help, but you can ignore the handoff and stay in Reset.

When might Reset offer SensyCues?

Reset may offer SensyCues when the next useful step is trying or reviewing a sensory/regulation support rather than continuing with a hard-moment Reset tool.

The basic review handoff remains part of the free suite workflow.

When might Reset offer ViziCues?

Reset may offer ViziCues when seeing the next steps visually could help. You can preview, edit, and use a Reset-created visual routine in ViziCues for Today without Apps Pro.

Apps Pro adds the convenience of saving that reviewed routine directly in ViziCues for reuse later.

Does Reset send my private notes to another app?

Reset handoffs are designed to send only the small amount of review/context information needed for the next app. Private notes, custom scripts, custom Tiny Steps, reports, payment information, license details, and image data are not placed into the handoff URL.

The receiving app shows a review step before anything is saved there.

Backup & moving to a new device

Protecting your locally saved Reset preferences, favorites, custom items, and personal supports.

Do I need Apps Pro to make a Reset backup?

No. Local export/import controls are part of the core free app. Open More → Privacy, backups & local data to export or import a Reset backup.

What can a Reset backup include?

A backup can include locally saved settings, favorites, recent Reset runs, Reset Page entries, My Reset Menu, saved Reset cards, Pocket Reset Packs, custom Tiny Steps, custom scripts, and other local Reset items that you chose to save.

A backup may contain private custom wording or notes. Review the file before sharing or storing it somewhere public.
What is not included in a Reset backup?

Payment, license, restore-token, Stripe, API-key, and other secret/credential fields are excluded from the Reset app-data backup.

What happens when I import a Reset backup?

Reset import is additive: it adds records from a valid Reset backup to this device. Importing does not send the backup to SensoryGift.

Reset checks that the file looks like a supported SensoryGift Reset backup before importing it.

How do I move my saved Reset items to another device?
  1. On the old device/browser, export a fresh Reset backup.
  2. Keep the backup file somewhere you can reach from the new device.
  3. Open Reset on the new device/browser.
  4. Open Privacy & Data and import the Reset backup.
  5. If you use Apps Pro and it is not recognized, restore paid access separately.
What should I do before clearing browser/app data?

If Reset still opens and you want to keep your locally saved items, export a fresh backup first.

Clearing browser or app data can remove local settings, favorites, recent runs, custom items, saved cards, and Pocket Reset Packs. Deleted local records cannot be restored unless you saved a backup first.
Does importing a backup restore Apps Pro?

No. Reset app data and Apps Pro purchase access are separate. Import your Reset backup for saved local content; use Apps Pro Restore for paid access.

Does one Apps Pro purchase cover Reset, SensyCues, and ViziCues?

Yes. SensoryGift Apps Pro is the shared upgrade for Reset, SensyCues, and ViziCues. Each app unlocks extras that fit that app.

I already paid for Apps Pro. Why does Reset say Free plan?

Make sure you are online, then open More → Apps Pro access and use the Restore option.

If Restore does not work, check Updates & Known Issues and contact support with the exact message shown in Reset.

How many devices can use Apps Pro?

Apps Pro can be active on up to 5 browser devices. If the active-device limit is full, Reset can show a device-reset help option.

If Apps Pro ends, can I still use Reset in a hard moment?

Yes. The core hard-moment tools remain available on the Free plan. Apps Pro affects optional saved/custom capacity and premium organizing/output features, not your access to the main Reset help.

Install, offline use, language & accessibility

Making Reset easy to open and adjusting the experience for lower visual, motion, or communication load.

Do I have to install Reset?

No. Reset works in a supported browser. Installing it is optional and gives you a Home Screen, launcher, dock, or app-window shortcut so it may be easier to reach quickly.

Can Reset work offline?

After Reset has loaded successfully online, core hard-moment screens and locally saved items are designed to remain available offline.

Website links, payment checks, purchase restore, support forms, and app updates may still need internet.

What languages are available?

Reset supports English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese for navigation, settings, and core help screens.

Some catalog wording may still appear in English while language coverage continues to expand.

What accessibility and comfort settings are available?

Reset includes controls for:

  • Reduce motion
  • Standard, Large, or Extra large text
  • High contrast
  • Simplified layout
  • Sound on/off
  • Haptics/tap feedback on/off when supported

Reset does not require sound for core help. These choices are stored locally on the device and do not require an account.

How do app updates work?

When a Reset update is ready, the app can show an update notice. You can choose Update Reset when the moment feels okay or choose Later.

Reset will not force the update while you are in an active Reset flow or while an important sheet is open.

Troubleshooting

Low-risk things to try without deleting the Reset data you chose to save.

Reset will not open or a screen is stuck
  1. Close Reset and open it again.
  2. If possible, reopen it while online.
  3. Check Updates & Known Issues.
  4. If it still fails, report the screen you were trying to open.
Do not clear browser/app data as your first troubleshooting step. If Reset still opens and you may need to clear storage later, export a backup first.
I cannot save another favorite or saved item

Reset Free includes up to 6 favorites/saved organizing items. You can remove an item you no longer need or use Apps Pro for more organizing space.

You can still use the Reset support itself even when the saved-item limit is full.

I cannot save another custom Tiny Steps plan or custom script

Reset Free includes 2 custom Tiny Steps plans and 2 custom scripts. Existing custom items and all built-in Tiny Steps/scripts still work.

My Saved items are missing on another device

Reset saves local items on the device/browser where you used it. They do not automatically appear on another phone, tablet, or browser.

If you moved devices, import your most recent Reset backup.

Reset says an update is ready but I am in the middle of using it

You can choose Later. Reset is designed to let you finish the current hard-moment flow or close an open sheet before applying the update.

Print or sharing is not working

Print/share behavior can depend partly on the device and browser. Try closing and reopening Reset, then retry the support’s own print/share action.

If the problem continues, report which support you were using, your device/browser if known, and whether Print, Share, or both failed.

I found an accessibility problem

Please report it. Useful details include whether the issue involved a screen reader, keyboard access, focus, text size, contrast, motion, simplified layout, orientation, sound/haptics, or another access need.

Privacy & your Reset data

What stays on the device, what can leave the device, and how to protect custom/private wording.

Do I need an account to use Reset?

No account is required for core Reset use. Settings, saved items, recent runs, and other local choices can stay on the device.

Does my Reset data automatically leave my device?

Reset is designed around local storage for core app data. Your settings, saved items, custom supports, and recent runs stay on the device unless you choose an action such as export, print, copy, share, or an app-to-app handoff.

What happens if I clear Reset data?

Clearing local data can remove settings, favorites, recent runs, custom Tiny Steps, custom scripts, saved cards, Reset Page entries, My Reset Menu content, Pocket Reset Packs, and other locally saved Reset information.

Built-in Reset help can load again afterward, but deleted personal/local records cannot be recreated unless you have a backup.

What should I include when contacting support?

The most useful report includes:

  • what you were trying to do;
  • what happened instead;
  • which Reset tool or screen you were using;
  • whether you were in a browser tab or installed/Home Screen app;
  • your device/browser, if you know them;
  • the exact error message, if one appeared; and
  • a screenshot when useful and safe to share.
Crop or cover private wording in screenshots when possible. Technical support usually does not need medical records, therapy notes, school records, diagnoses, or other sensitive information.

Safety & when Reset is not the right tool

Reset is everyday support. It is not designed to replace urgent, medical, or professional care.

Is Reset therapy or medical advice?

No. Reset is an everyday educational/support tool. It does not diagnose or treat a condition, replace medical care or therapy, or replace an individual support plan.

Is Reset an emergency or crisis service?

No. Reset is not emergency response or crisis care. If a situation involves immediate danger, a medical emergency, or needs urgent professional help, use the appropriate local emergency, crisis, medical, caregiver, or professional support instead of relying on the app.

What if a Body Check does not fit or something feels medically wrong?

Body Check is a low-demand body/input prompt, not a medical assessment. You can stop after one check. If symptoms are concerning, severe, new, or need medical attention, use appropriate medical care rather than trying to solve the problem through Reset.
